Escape the jungle, expose the truth. Well, it’s actually going to be some kind of A Dark Truth, because we’re here to share the first clip from the movie which is set to open this January. And, on the other hand, this project is definitely worth our full attention ’cause some seriously good cast is on board. In case you forgot – Andy Garcia, Forest Whitaker and Eva Longoria all star in it! So, let us all take a trip to a South American village and see what’s so special about this movie…
Written and directed by Damian Lee, this action thriller follows an ex-CIA op-turned political talk show host, played by Garcia who is hired by a corporate whistle blower, played by Longoria, to expose her company’s cover-up of a massacre in a South American village.
As you’re about to see in this short clip, he will try to convince Longoria and Whitaker to trust him. That’s not going to be an easy job for Garcia!
The film draws attention to man’s inhumanity and unconscious actions against the environment and questions if there is a moral and ethical obligation when talking about boundaries, borders and human interaction. With the ever-increasing depletion of earth’s natural resource of water serving as the backdrop, a multi-national corporation disregards basic human needs that result in widespread illness and a people’s uprising. The distress causes unlikely allies to conspire and seek redemption for past deeds and the greater good.
The rest of A Dark Truth cast includes Kim Coates, Deborah Kara Unger, Kevin Durand and Steven Bauer and Magnolia Pictures will release the movie in limited theaters on January 4th, 2013.
