Walt Disney has sent over a new hi-res photos from their upcoming film Prince of Persia starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Ben Kingsley, Gemma Arterton, Alfred Molina and Toby Kebbell.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is based off the popular video game, Gyllenhaal plays Prince Dastan a young man who reluctantly joins forces with a mysterious princess (Arterton) and together, they race against dark forces to safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the Sands of Time—a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.

The adaptation of the best-selling video game series is directed by Mike Newell (Donnie Brasco, Pushing Tin, Mona Lisa Smile, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire). The screenplay was co-written by Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard (The Sorcerer's Apprentice) and the story was developed by Jordan Mechner, one of the original creators of the video game.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is scheduled to hit theaters on May 28th, 2010.
