Bobcat Goldthwait’s God Bless America will Kill the Kids of MTV’s My Super Sweet 16

Bobcat Goldthwait

It was revealed last week on The Adam Carolla Show that Bobcat Goldthwait has found his next project, backed by Darko Pictures. Comedy named God Bless America, involves over-indulged teenagers and a binge killing.

Comedian  Goldthwait, who rose to stardom in the 80's with mad characters like Zed in the Police Academy franchise and One Crazy Summer‘s Egg Stork, has proven himself to be a creative talent behind the lens as well, helming the darkly comic stunning success. Re this dark road trip that Goldthwait might soon be taking, the comedian stated:

There's a middle aged guy and he's at home watching a show like My Super Sweet 16, you know that show?…there's always a horrible kid who gets everything she wants…”I wanted an Escalade! You ruined everything!” So he's sitting at home watching a show like that, and he drives 400 miles and kills that girl – spoiler alert! – and then her friend, well not a friend, a classmate, is going “did you kill Chloe?” and he doesn't say anything, and she goes “awesome.” So then they get in this stolen Camaro and drive around and kill people. We're hoping for a Christmas release.”

Goldthwait wrote and directed Shakes the Clown in 1991. It's a cult classic described as the “Citizen Kane of alcoholic clown movies” and adds Martin Scorsese and Michael Stipe as fans. Other pictures he directed include Windy City Heat and Sleeping Dogs Lie.

Bobcat's most recent directorial work is Schoolboys in Disgrace, based on the 1976 album by the Kinks. It's a musical about a schoolboy disgraced by his headmaster who vows to fight back.

Goldthwait made his television debut on David Letteman's night show. He has also directed The Demetri Martin Show, The Chappelle Show, The Man Show and Crank Yankers.

And that's not all — he'll perform in April 9 in Columbus State University's University Hall on main campus. I mean, really.

No further information about God Bless America at this time. We'll make sure to update you ASAP.
