Andy Samberg, Zachary Quinto, Matt Bomer and Ari Graynor are in talks to join Anna Faris and Chris Evans in the comedy What's your number?
Bomer will portray Faris' dream guy, and Graynor will play her sister. Both Samberg and Quinto will play two of the men Faris' character revisits in her quest to find love.
What's your number? is new romantic comedy that will be directed by Mark Mylod.
Yes, that sounds a little bit familiar, since it's an adaptation of the book by Karyn Bosnak, and it was previously titled 20 Times a Lady.
But now, since the names of Anna Faris, Chris Evans and Mylod are involved with the whole project, it could be something interesting and fun to watch…
The whole story centers on a woman who treks through her sexual past to find Mr. Right, exploring the idea of sexual quotas and whether such numbers matter.
Interesting thing is the question – how many men does it take to find true love? And in this movie, we will have a chance to meat Delilah Darling. Her magic number was supposed to be twenty.
The rest of the story goes something like this: “She always thought she'd find the perfect guy by the time she'd slept with twenty of them. But when she wakes up naked in her disgusting boss's bed after a drunken night out, she's filled with regret and realizes she's hit her self-imposed limit. Unwilling to up her number but unable to imagine a life of celibacy, Delilah does what any girl in her situation would do: she tracks down every man she's ever slept with in a last-ditch effort to make it work with one of them.“
Mylod did some great job on British TV, setting the stylistic paradigm for The Royle Family, one of the most important and influential sitcoms of all time. Or, maybe you prefer his work at Ali G Indahouse?
Never mind, the most important thing is that now we finally have an oportunity to watch something new, fresh, and we hope – hilarious, because we miss this kind of stuff!
Shooting starts in May, Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson are producing and 20th Century Fox will distribute.
