Director Antoine Fuqua is planning to direct a biopic about former legendary rapper Tupac Shakur.
We could call that a pretty awesome idea, because it's well known thing that Tupac's life definitely deserves a big screen adaptation. After all, we all had a chance to see that even a documentary of Shakur's life, 2003's Tupac: Resurrection, was nominated for an Oscar.
So, at this moment we have an info that the upcoming Fuqua's project will be produced by Morgan Creek Productions and is expected to start shooting in September.
It all started when director said: “We're doing Tupac Shakur's movie next in September, that's what I've been starting up and working on now with Morgan Creek and Jim Robinson. I just got the green light from him and we're going in September. I've just started to prep that.”
When it comes to the actor that will portray the rap legend, Fuqua states that he is hoping to find a new face to fill the role:
“I want to discover someone new. I want to discover a lot of new people if I can. Obviously I'm going to have to put some people in it that you know, just because actors have different skills. I want to go to the streets and find him anywhere he might be in the world.”
So, as you see, Fuqua is definitely a busy man nowadays! He has numerous projects in development, including the action thriller Consent to Kill and project titled The Tomb, which will reunite director with his Tears of the Sun star Bruce Willis.
At this moment, it looks that Shakur biopic will come first. We'll keep an eye on this project. Make sure you stay tuned!

I believe in order to play the roll of Tupac you must have been through the struggle and came to a mature level mentally.
