Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis in The Hangover 2: Hung Harder

Fiona January 18, 2012 Add a Comment
Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis have all been signed on for the sequel titled The Hangover 2: Hung Harder! Well, we all know that the first part was really successful, so if anybody thought the comedy would spawn a franchise – there you go, everything is possible when you have a good story! We're sure you all know how the story goes, but let us refresh your memory with some Hollywood facts! The Hangover, which tells the story of four men who go on a bachelor party in Las Vegas and wake up the next morning with no memory of what happened the night before, is the highest grossing R-rated comedy of all time, after becoming a surprise box office smash. Ok, there are already some cynics skeptical about what's left to tell in the Hangover chronicle and while that's understandable we can't leave out the potential of this film. Of course, it would be crazy to believe those guys will go back to Vegas and re-experience their original adventures, but still, there are some rumors saying that the story might be set somewhere outside of Las Vegas, possibly in Thailand. On the other hand, just to let you know how serious the whole thing can be, Cooper, Helms and Galifianakis will get about $5 million each for a second installment of the comedy, while director and producer Todd Phillips is set to earn $10 million. That is definitely success, since the trio earned less than $1 million collectively for the first film. We could also add that Justin Bartha, who played the missing groom in the original, will also be back for the sequel, which is set to begin filming in October. It's nice to hear this kind of news, indeed. It's also interesting that some out there describe this kind of projects saying: “This is the generation of vulgar comedies with heart-warming centers and this could mean we're on the cusp of something great here.” It could be true, it definitely could, and we can't wait to see what those guys are preparing us for the next part – The Hangover 2: Hung Harder. Are you guys excited for a sequel?
