Charlize Theron is in negotiation to star with Tom Cruise in Bharat Nalluri-directed “The Tourist,” remake of the 2005 French thriller “Anthony Zimmer.”
Theron will play a female Interpol agent who uses an American tourist in an attempt to flush out an elusive criminal with whom she once had an affair.
The script is currently getting a polish by Christopher McQuarrie, who co-wrote the upcoming Cruise's “Valkyrie” for United Artists.
The Production is expected to begin by March.
Charlize Theron was most recently seen alongside Will Smith in “Hancock,” and she will be seen in the Guillermo Arriaga-directed “The Burning Plain” and alongside Viggo Mortensen in John Hillcoat's “The Road.”
