This Christmas it's a battle for the ages in the Parental Guidance movie, and that's exatcly why we're here today – to share five new clips from the whole thing, as well as one behind-the-scenes video. I'm sure you're going to love this comedy which comes from director Andy Fickman and stars legendary Billy Crystal and Bette Midler in the leading roles. Here come the grandparents – there go the rules, indeed!

So, as we previously reported, Fickman's movie is actually based on Crystal's own experiences walking the fine line between traditional and modern parenting.
It follows two grandparents who will have to take care of their three grandchildren using 21st century methods, though they soon resort to an old-school style of parenting.

Old school grandfather Artie, who is accustomed to calling the shots, meets his match when he and his eager-to-please wife Diane agree to babysit their three grandkids when their type-A helicopter parents go away for work. But when 21st century problems collide with Artie and Diane's old school methods of tough rules, lots of love and old-fashioned games, it's learning to bend – and not holding your ground – that binds a family together.
