Franck Khalfoun and is actually a remake of
William Lustig‘s brutal 1980 film of the same name.
Alexandre Aja stands behind the script which, this time, centers on a guy named Frank, who develops a dangerous obsession with a young artist.
Now imagine
Elijah Wood as Frank, and
Nora Arnezeder as that young artist named Anna. Their friendship looks almost perfect…
Frank is the withdrawn owner of a mannequin store. She's a young artist asking for his help with her new exhibition. But, Frank's obsession soon escalates, and it becomes clear that she has unleashed a long-repressed compulsion to stalk and kill.
Creepy, indeed. And, let's be honest – the new plot sounds better than the original one. I mean, in Lustig's movie we had a schizoid serial killer (abusive mother syndrome) who randomly stalks and kills young women in New York. This time we have a more intimate, but again brutal story. So I guess this should be cool.

Morgane Slemp.
