Well, we already had a chance to see first set photos from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire movie, but hey – this is an official first look at Jennifer Lawrence and Sam Claflin so we definitely recommend you to check them out! As you already know, Lawrence plays Katniss, Claflin is on board as Finnick, and…well, read – they go to war!
Simon Beaufoy, Michael deBruyn and Scott Frank stand behind the script, while Francis Lawrence directs the sequel to the 2012 The Hunger Games, which will continue adventures of Katniss Everdeen.
The movie begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a Victor's Tour of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
Beside Jennifer Lawrence and Sam Claflin, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire also stars Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Lenny Kravitz, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Toby Jones, Woody Harrelson, Jena Malone, Philip Seymour Hoffman and more, and the movie is set to open on November 22nd, 2013.
