The premiere of Bong Joon-ho
‘s sci-fi thriller Snowpiercer
keeps getting closer and after some concept art and the first official image
, the first poster arrived, which offers a glance of the highly-anticipated film.
New science fiction post-apocalyptic film Snowpiercer, based on the French graphic novel ‘Le Transperceneige,’ is set in a future where, ‘after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snow Piercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews.’
The Bong Joon-ho’s English-language debut, which stars Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer, Ewen Bremner, Alison Pill
and Ed Harris
, as well as John Hurt
who’s staring at us from the quad poster and Song Kang-ho
from a recent image, has received a lot of attention ever since.
Snowpiercer is expected to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, and The Weinstein Company is planning a wide summer 2013 release for the film.
