Yet another adaptation of a best selling young adult novel, or another Gothic romantic thriller? Pretty much the same thing, because we're here to report that
Fallen aka an adaptation of
Lauren Kate's best selling young adult novel series is coming. And, what definitely sounds interesting is that
Jeremy Irvine and
Addison Timlin are set to star in it. Head inside to find more details…
At this moment we know that
Scott Hicks (who stands behind the Oscar-winning biopic
Shine) is set to direct the whole thing from a script written by
Kathryn Price and
Nicole Millard.
The movie is set against the backdrop of war between good and evil angels, and revolves around a shy teen named Luce who is suspected of killing a boy and is sent to Sword and Cross reform school.
But, here's the catch:
The school is filled with frequent supernatural occurrences and it becomes clear that the majority of students are fallen angels on the side of good or evil. A battle commences and a love story with deadly consequences for Luce is formed with two male students who have dark secrets of their own.
As you already guess, Timlin is on board to play Luce, while Irvine is set to star as Daniel Grigori, aka Luce's love interest.
Mayhem's Mark Ciardi and Gordon Gray are producing with Bill Johnson and Jim Seibel of
Lotus Entertainment, while Silver Reel's Claudia Bluemhuber is exec producer and Campbell McInnes of Lotus is overseeing the project.
We'll keep an eye on
Fallen, make sure you stay tuned for more updates!
