House of Cards – familiar with that one? Well, add David Fincher, Netflix, Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright to the list, and there you go – you have a new pilot with some great cast on board!

So, Fincher is on board to direct the hour-long drama project which is actually based on the book and British miniseries of the same name.
He directs from a script written by Beau Willimon who will also serve as an executive producer. And while we're still here at the producing-part, let us also mention that Fincher is also executive producing the series along with Eric Roth, Josh Donen and Spacey's Trigger Street Productions partner Dana Brunetti.
That's what we call a surprisingly good team behind one pilot…
As you already see from this image, House of Cards stars Spacey as a wily, murderous politician worming his way to the White House (in one word – he's a ruthless guy), while Wright is on board to play his “ambitious” wife.
One thing is for sure – they both look quite ambitious to me on this photo. Especially when it comes to photoshop…
House of Cards will debut on Netflix next year.
