Based on the first book of The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, the movie is set in contemporary New York City, and revolves around Collins' character – a seemingly ordinary teenager named Clary Fray.
As you already had a chance to see from the official trailer and the latest clips from the movie, the fun starts when Clary discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons.
And here's the rest of the plot:
After the disappearance of her mother, Clary must join forces with a group of Shadowhunters, who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other deadly creatures.
Beside the above mentioned duo, the rest of The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones cast includes Robert Sheehan, Kevin Zegers, Lena Headey, Kevin Durand, Aidan Turner, Jemima West, Godfrey Gao, CCH Pounder, Jared Harris, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and the movie is set to hit theaters on August 21st, 2013.
