I am personally thrilled by Kidman's wacky new looks – judging by synopsis, it seems that the role is as wacky – and I have not a slightest doubt about her performance.
The movie is based on the 1995 novel by Pete Dexter and is Florida-set period pic about two brothers, a reporter (McConaughey) and a college dropout (Efron), who team up to investigate a possible miscarriage of justice surrounding a death row inmate convicted of killing the local sheriff.
