No smoking, please! We want to share a new image of Jason Statham from his upcoming elevated thriller titled Hummingbird.
It's not like you're going to see something spectacular (like his phone number or something like that), but at least we know that things are going pretty well with this feature directorial debut of Eastern Promises writer Steven Knight.
We already had a little chat about this project, but who cares, let's repeat some facts. The movie follows Joey Jones, played by Statham, man who witnessed his unit ripped to shreds by artillery fire in Afganistan.
He desperately tries to forget his past and stay out of trouble, but, on the run from a ruthless gang, he soon jumps into a much bigger trouble – he breaks into the apartment of a wealthy man in Convent Garden and assumes his upper-class identity.
Just as Joey is on his way to making amends with his friend and sponsor Sister Cristina, his pregnant girlfriend is found dead in the river. Now, he must use his connections in the Chinese mob to find the man responsible, stopping at nothing until justice is served.
