New Toy Story 3 Characters Unveiled

Fiona September 14, 2011 1 comment
Toy Story 3 Poster Buttercup Disney/Pixar have unveiled two new character images from Toy Story 3. We've already had Ken, Peas in a Pod and Hog-O'-Lot Bear and today it's Buttercup, a lovely lady Unicorn and Trixie. So take a look at the shiny new characters. We don't know what Buttercup's role in the film is yet, but here's what the synopsis has to say: Saddle up for fun and let Buttercup lead your child away on a magical adventure! This cuddly unicorn features velvety-soft, snow-colored fur with sparkly gold and pink accents. He sports a signature mythical golden horn and a fun-to-comb mane and tail. Buttercup's durable plastic eyes are both charming and scratch-resistant. Hypo-allergenic. Ages 3 and up. Buttercup is voiced by Jeff Garlin, who voiced the Captain in Wall-E. Trixie is the latest of the 14 brand new characters from Toy Story 3. Toy Story 3 Poster Trixie Trixie, voiced by actress and comedienne Kristen Schaal, is a perfect playmate for prehistoric playtime! Visit the era when dinosaurs ruled the Earth! Made of rigid, durable plastic and in friendly shades of blue and purple, Trixie features an expressive mouth and movable legs. This gentle Triceratops will feed any child's imagination. Also available: Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus and Velociraptor.” The third installment of the blockbuster animation series “Toy Story” made as a 3-D movie is directed by Lee Unkrich who previously co-directed “Toy Story 2,” “Monsters, Inc.,” and “Finding Nemo.” Michael Arndt (”Little Miss Sunshine”) wrote the script for the movie. Toy Story 3 follows all familiar toys as they are donated to a day-care center following Andy's departure for college. Now they will be forced to decide whether they'd like to stay and be a part of a new, bigger family of toys, or whether they'd like to try and make a break for it and return to Andy. The movie also stars Tom Hanks (Woody), Tim Allen (Buzz Lightyear), John Morris (Andy Davis), Joan Cusack (Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl), Kelsey Grammer (Stinky Pete the Prospector), Don Rickles (Mr. Potato Head), Estelle Harris (Mrs. Potato Head), Jodi Benson (Barbie), Michael Keaton (Ken), John Ratzenberger (Hamm the Piggy Bank), Whoopi Goldberg and Bonnie Hunt among the others. Disney and Pixar's Toy Story 3 is scheduled to be released in 3D on June 18, 2010.

Those still look like 3D images to me, I can’t seem to find pictures of the actual characters.
