3D glasses a hygiene risk?
Yes, you read that correctly. Those glasses, and their capability to keep us in touch with latest techniques in three-dimensional world, suddenly sound like some kind of danger?
The Italian health ministry “confiscated” about 7000 pairs of 3D glasses and could even collect more.
At first moment, everybody thought this news refers to an usual problems as headaches and dizziness that some people seem to experience while watching 3D, but then we heard that real problem is – hygiene.
Apparently, official report sounds: “the glasses pose hygiene problems if they are not properly cleaned between screenings, and the confiscated glasses did not display tags proving they would not cause short-term vision problems to users”.
Let us remind you that those glasses are not actually the cheapest thing in the world, so at most IMAX theaters you have to return your pair when you leave. It seems like this announcement of Italian authorities mostly refer to troubles with some theaters out there, that weren't so good at cleaning them, because we don't hear this kind of rumors coming from any other country.
Anyway, this news doesn't seem to have any chance to stop Avatar‘s big success, because as we heard, this one is the top-grossing picture in Italy, so all lovers of this blockbuster do not have any reason to feel stressed up with it.
