Warner Bros. Pictures has released nine new banners for
Gangster Squad, the forthcoming period crime film starring
Josh Brolin and
Ryan Gosling as two L.A.P.D. cops who form an elite task force aimed at taking down notorious gangster Mickey Cohen (
Sean Penn).
The film, directed by
Ruben Fleischer also stars
Nick Nolte, Robert Patrick, Michael Peña, Giovanni Ribisi, Anthony Mackie, and
Emma Stone, opens in theaters on January 11th, 2013.

Los Angeles, 1949. And he does it all with the protection of not only his own paid goons, but also the police and the politicians who are under his control.
