Spike Lee‘s upcoming
Oldboy remake, we're here to take another look at
Josh Brolin and
Elizabeth Olsen. Eight new pics from the movie have arrived just in time to remind us that we should never ask why we were imprisoned… or something like that? Whatever, take a look…
Lee directs the whole thing from a script written by
Mark Protosevich, but as you already know – the movie is a remake of the 2003
award-winning South Korean film of the same name (directed by
Park Chan-wook).
Described as a provocative, visceral thriller,
Oldboy stars Brolin as an advertising executive named Joe Doucett, who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement.
And the rest of the story goes like this:
When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.
Beside Brolin and Olsen, the rest of
Oldboy cast includes
Sharlto Copley,
James Ransone,
Samuel L. Jackson,
Hannah Simone and
Max Casella, and the movie is set to hit theaters on November 27th, 2013.
