“Paranormal Activity” Movie Photos

paranormal_3 Our Movie Photo Gallery has been updated with “Paranormal Activity” photos and poster. A haunted house makes no secret of the fact it's not pleased with its new tenants in this independent tale of supernatural horror. Katie (Katie Featherson) and Micah (Micah Sloat) are a twentysomething couple who've just moved into a new home in San Diego, CA. Katie has an interest in the paranormal and believes that malevolent spirits have been following her since childhood, though Micah is not so easily convinced. However, after several nights of loud noises and strange happenings, Micah starts to agree with Katie that some sort of ghost may have followed them to the new home. After a paranormal researcher tells the couple he can't help them, Micah decides to take control of the situation and sets up a battery of video cameras so that if a spirit manifests itself, he can capture its behavior on tape. Once the surveillance cameras are in place, Katie and Micah bring in a Ouija board in an effort to talk to the spirits, a move that deeply offends the ghosts. Paranormal Activity was the first feature film from writer and director Oren Peli. Box office report: “Paranormal Activity” was the top movie at the box office this weekend, earning an estimated $22 million. The movie — produced on a reported budget of $15,000 — has earned $62.4 million after 5 weekends of release. [source: THR]

Another movie that is coming out that offers a clean alternative is ‘’Paranormal.’’ Below is some additional information about this new thriller!!

Paranormal, the latest supernatural thriller from Cross Shadow Productions, (the
creators of the Dove.org approved, best-selling BMG releases: Pray and Pray 2:
The Woods) will be available in stores nationwide January 26th 2010. The 2009 Mrs. America is starring in it.

See more information and trailers at:

Following the success of family-friendly suspense/thriller The Exorcism of Emily
Rose (Sony Pictures), comes a riveting supernatural thriller in the vein of the hit
SyFy television series, Ghost Hunters and Frank Peretti’s House (Roadside
    Attractions / Lionsgate).

Paranormal follows best-selling, self-made novelist Greg Evans struggling through the worst case of writer’s block in his award-winning career. In a desperate search for
inspiration, Greg quickly finds himself immersed in a world he is not prepared to face.
Turning to a group of paranormal investigators, Greg and the ghost hunting team search for proof and answers, yet are unaware they are about to have an experience of a
lifetime! None will leave the way they came. Paranormal will peel back the supernatural curtain to reveal how The TRUTH will EXPOSE the darkness!

I saw the movie tonight (Halloween). There were about 75 people in this theater watching the film and when it was over, Every one of us wished we never spent the money to see it. It was terrible. You have to sit there and wait for something to happen and it rarely did. Only while they were sleeping and only for a second or two. This happened about five times and that was it. Complete waste of time. Don’t go to see it. It was stupid. The ONLY thing worth anything was as we left, the usser was dressed as a priest. Everyone stood there outside the theater commenting on what a waste of money. Dont waste yours. I wouldnt even recomend watching it on HBO. It sucked that bad.

I really liked this movie. It WAS scary. Scarier then Halloween or Saw.

When she sleep walked outside, I got the chills. I HATED Micah for forcing her to not call the Demonologist guy. When she got dragged out of bed, I screamed… Then when she sleep walked downstairs at the end and started screaming, I was hoping Micah wouldn’t go downstairs. But of course, he did. And she killed him. I saw both endings. Both of them were disappointing. I hated the one where she threw him at the camera and ran away the most… The other one where she kills him, there is silence and then you hear footsteps on the stairs, and then she comes into the room, locks the door and goes up to the camera and slits her throat added to the creepy factor. When she locked the door and had the knife, I thought she was going to stab the camera or something. I covered my eyes, but my friend told me it was okay to watch, so I did end up seeing it.

All in all, amazing movie. Go see it.

iv never seen a worse film how can people find this film scary you wait for most of the film for th big scare factor to kick in and unless you are 10 then you just laugh at there attempt to scare . if it was left as an independent film then i could understand this bt the fact a major company bought you would expect better
