The first theatrical trailer for Blue Sky Studios' animated film Rio 2, which is scheduled for an April 11th, 2014 release, is finally here.
After two musical and foot-tapping teaser trailers, we have more of a focus on the story itself. Besides, the final gag in this trailer is pretty good.
Carlos Saldanha will be back once again along with composer John Powell. The sequel features the voice talents of Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg as Jewel and Blu who have actually become the happy parents of three lovely kids; co-starring the returning cast members of Jemaine Clement, will.i.am, Tracy Morgan, George Lopez, Brazilian singer Bebel Gilberto, Jake T. Austin and Jamie Foxx; also returning actors Leslie Mann and Rodrigo Santoro round out the cast as the main human characters, Blu's owner Linda and Brazilian ornithologist Tulio; joining them will be Andy Garcia, Bruno Mars, Kristin Chenoweth, Rita Moreno, Amandla Stenberg, Rachel Crow, Pierce Gagnon, Natalie Morales and Janelle Monae.

Synopsis:
The entire cast of the animated smash RIO returns in RIO 2, and they are joined by a new flock of top actors and musical talents. Rich with grandeur, character, color and music, RIO 2 finds Jewel (Anne Hathaway), Blu (Jesse Eisenberg) and their three kids leaving their domesticated life in that magical city for a journey to the Amazon. They encounter a menagerie of characters who are born to be wild, voiced by Oscar nominee Andy Garcia, Oscar/Emmy/Tony-winner Rita Moreno, Grammy winner Bruno Mars, and Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth.
I’m pretty excited about his upcoming movie. I have seen the first “Rio”and I truly enjoyed it as well as the kids. There’s so much fun in an animated movie, especially when you are watching it with your kids and the whole family.
