ROBOCOP Poster

Robocop-Black

Check out the first one-sheet for Sony Pictures forthcoming remake of RoboCop. This new one borrows a line from the Paul Verhoeven's 1987 original, featuring Joel Kinnaman in all his cybernetic policeman glory.

The cyborg copper's black metal body is on display, as is his futuristic gun and his Detroit PD badge with more than just the futuristic logo.

Also starring Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, Abbie Cornish, Jay Baruchel and Jackie Earle Haley, director José Padilha‘s remake hits theaters February 7th, 2014.

The highly anticipated trailer for the new take on the cybernetic crime-fight arrived online last week along with the first official images, which are quite nice in any event.

Here's the all-new RoboCop poster, showing future of American justice with an extremely lame tagline.

Synopsis:

In RoboCop, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Overseas, their drones have been used by the military for years – and it's meant billions for OmniCorp's bottom line. Now OmniCorp wants to bring their controversial technology to the home front, and they see a golden opportunity to do it. When Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) – a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit – is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer. OmniCorp envisions a RoboCop in every city and even more billions for their shareholders, but they never counted on one thing: there is still a man inside the machine pursuing justice.
