The official poster for the upcoming animated “
Star Wars: The Clone Wars” has been released, along with a shot of the villain.
The new still, first shot of the villain from the movie has been revealed, named
Asajj Ventress. She appeared in 2-D form in previous cartoons, but gets 3-D digital animation in the upcoming film, which hits theaters on August 15th.
The movie is a prequel that takes place in the years before Anakin Skywalker becomes Darth Vader. It sets up a future animated TV series for the Cartoon Network and a first trailer debuts Thursday at 7:58pm in all time zones on that and other Turner Networks: TBS, TNT, CNN and Boomerang.
