Christopher Nolan's latest medium for reaching fans is an old-fashioned idea waiting to be revived: the exclusive poster that will be given away at the
IMAX 12:01 premiere for
The Dark Knight Rises on July 20.
The limited-edition poster, featuring the film's marquee villain Bane, played by
Tom Hardy, in black and white was premiered on
Fandango Tuesday.
Nolan's latest masterpiece, also starring
Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and
Marion Cotillard, is reportedly nothing short of amazing.
Nolan also shot more than an hour of footage for The Dark Knight Rises with IMAX cameras, ensuring that it's going to be worth paying extra to view at an IMAX theaters even if you don't go home with one of the prized souvenirs.
