The Expendables 2 in China? Yeah, why not? After all, we already heard that Donnie Yen has been offered a “tailor-made” role in the whole thing, and we're still waiting to hear what will happen with Jet Li, so what the hell – a few scenes in China won't hurt us as well!
And it could be fun, especially if Yen actually agrees to star in the sequel. In the rest of this report, we finally have an answer to our previous question – why should Yen even consider a role like this?
Here's the thing. Guys from Nu Image/Millennium Films said that the production company's are in talks with a Chinese distributor to come on board as a producer on the sequel, which would lead to scenes being shot in China as long as a local actor's in the cast.
I guess that's the part where Yen comes on board, although we heard he's busy with some other projects, and that he will wait to see the script before he decides. Looks like the decision has already been made?
Anyway, the movie will begin shooting in October, and as you already know, Simon West is on board to direct the whole thing. Sylvester Stallone will appear again as well as Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Jean-Claude Van Damme, John Travolta, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture.
Chuck Norris and Arnold Schwarzenegger aren't confirmed, but it's rumored they will be appearing too. Stay tuned for more updates on this one!
