10 New THE FAMILY (MALAVITA) Pics With Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer & Tommy Lee Jones
After two pretty cool trailers and the latest character posters for Luc Besson‘s dark action comedy The Family (previously Malavita), we finally have more great pics with Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer and Tommy Lee Jones to add to our little gallery. The movie is set to hit theaters next month, so we better hurry up with this report…
Written and directed by Besson, and based on Tonino Benacquista‘s novel Malavita, the movie follows a mafia boss and his family who are relocated to a sleepy town in France under the witness protection program after snitching on the mob.
De Niro plays Fred Manzoni, Pfeiffer is his wife Maggie, and Jones stars as Agent Stansfield who does everything he can to keep the Manzoni family in line. The rest of the cast includes Dianna Agron and John D’Leo aka Belle and Warren respectively.
A notorious mafia clan can’t help but revert to old habits and blow their cover by handling their problems the “family” way, enabling their former mafia cronies to track them down.
Chaos ensues as old scores are settled in the unlikeliest of settings in this darkly funny film which is set to hit theaters on September 13th, 2013.
