I know you all love when you see that we have an update on The Paperboy movie, so let's get straight to the point with this one.
Here's a new clip from Lee Daniels‘ new movie which is set to open this October.
As usual, you'll have a chance to enjoy in a short video with the leading cast – Matthew McConaughey, Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, John Cusack and David Olyelowo. One thing is for sure – Cusack really rocks in this video, hope you'll enjoy it!
The Paperboy follows Jack Jansen, played by Efron, son of the local newspaper publisher, who has just returned home after being kicked out of college, only to take the lowly job of paperboy. But that will soon change when his idolized journalist brother Ward, played by McConaughey, comes to town from Miami on the trail of a story that could make his career.
Together with his writing partner Yardley, played by Oyelowo, and the alluring death-row groupie Charlotte Bless, played by Kidman, Ward plans to prove that an innocent man has been railroaded on his way to the electric chair. With Jack as their driver, the quartet arranges to meet Cusack's character – Hillary Van Wetter, the seedy alligator hunter hastily convicted of killing the local sheriff, at the prison.
But as you can already see from this clip, what erupts between them all is a tangled web of sexual tension, mixed motives and shadowy facts that will set off not only a search for the truth but a chain reaction of passion and violence.
Macy Gray also stars in the movie as Jack's only real confidante, character named Anita, or if you prefer – the disregarded family maid who watches in dismay as his innocence is turned inside out.
Millennium Entertainment will release The Paperboy in limited theaters on Ostober 5th this year.
