Following up the first images and poster last week, an official trailer has landed for Alan Taylor‘s Phase Two Marvel sequel, Thor: The Dark World.
Well cut trailer for the sequel to the 2011 Thor blockbuster offers a ton of impressive looking action, while revealing new details about the story.
God of Thunder (Chris Hemsworth) returns to Asgard with the mischief-maker Loki (Tom Hiddleston) only to find himself facing off against an enemy that threatens to plunge the entire universe into darkness: the powerful Malekith the Accursed (Christopher Eccleston) and his army of Dark Elves.

Natalie Portman, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins will also reprise their roles from the first film, while Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Zachary Levi are added to the cast as Algrim and Fandral.
Thor: The Dark World opens in 3D on November 8th, 2013.
