I was pleasantly surprised by Disney and I hope you'll be too.
Actually, Disney revealed 10 minutes from the beginning of John Carter movie.
So, what you'll see in this clip is young Edgar Rice Burroughs (Daryl Sabara) arriving at a palatial estate, where he reads a book in which John Carter (Taylor Kitsch) narrates his experience. Then we see Carter, before he is transported to Mars, in Arizona and events which lead to his transportation.
I don't know about you but I'm interested and would like to see next sequences from the movie now, although I read some early reports about fiasco.
Because of what? Well, the marketing campaign was terrible, trailers and TV spots showed us nothing. Nobody knows who or what John Carter is. And maybe, the worst thing of all, they dropped of Mars from the title. Can you imagine that? What a failure and disgrace!
You know, Disney, you should show us much more from the movie, the whole movie maybe (?) and underlined that is based on some Barsoom novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Now, you just waisted your $250 million in vain.
Anyway, I'll watch John Carter which has great cast alongside Kitsch – Lynn Collins, Mark Strong, Samantha Morton, Ciaran Hinds, Dominic West, James Purefoy, Polly Walker, Thomas Haden Church and Willem Dafoe and opens on March 9th, 2012.
So, maybe this clip is not a bad idea. Watch the first 10 minutes of John Carter and judge for yourselves.
