The second trailer for
Taken 2 has been released.
In this sequel, retired CIA agent Bryan Mills (
Liam Neeson) and his ex-wife (
Famke Janssen) are kidnapped by the father of one of kidnappers from the first film. This leaves Mills to enlist the aid of his daughter Kim (
Maggie Grace) to use the same “particular set of skills” and advanced tactical training to help them escape and take out their assailants.
The film also stars
Rade Serbedzija, Leland Orser, Luke Grimes, and is directed by the awesomely named
Olivier Megaton.
Taken was a surprise hit (for a B action movie especially), but it connected with audiences, grossed $226 million worldwide, so chances are the sequel was greenlit almost instantly.
Taken 2 hits theatres October 5th, 2012.
