IFC Midnight’s new supernatural thriller +1 (Plus One) that has the shortest title of the year, finally gets the first trailer.
The Last House on the Left director Dennis Iliadis’ latest feature opens in theaters September 20th, 2013.
Penned by Bill Gullo from a story by Iliadis, the film stars Rhys Wakefield (The Purge), Ashley Hinshaw (Chronicle), Natalie Hall (All My Children) and Logan Miller (The Bling Ring). +1 had its debut this year at SXSW and had received some positive early reviews.
A trippy and paradoxical movie in the vein of Project X meets Invasion of the Body Snatchers, +1 follows college buds who go to the biggest party of the year, where a mysterious phenomenon occurs that turns the bash into a chaos that challenges their friendships and life expectancies.
Here’s the official synopsis:
In this supernatural thriller, three college friends go to the biggest party of the year, each looking for something different: love, sex and a simple human connection. When a mysterious phenomenon disrupts the party, it lights a fuse on what will become the strangest night anyone has ever seen. As the three friends struggle to find what they’re looking for, the party quickly descends into a chaos that challenges if they can stay friends or if they can even stay alive.
We already shared one pretty cool poster for the whole thing.
Check out the trailer below. +1 is definitely not a movie about a Google Plus campaign.
