Little Accidents, make sure you remember this title. An upcoming indie drama from writer and director Sara Colangelo already sounds promising – we’ve just learned that production is officially underway in West Virginia, and that Elizabeth Banks, Chloe Sevigny and Josh Lucas are all on board! Head inside to find more details…
So, at this moment we know that the film was developed at both the Sundance Institute’s Screenwriters and Directors Labs, and that (just like Colangelo’s award-winning short film by the same name) follows the disappearance of JT, a 14 year-old boy in an American coal town which has already seen its share of tragedy after a mining accident.
JT’s disappearance draws together three local residents from very different walks of life. Together they struggle to navigate the web of secrets surrounding the boy’s death, unaware of how connected they truly are.
Production is officially underway in West Virginia, and as we said, Banks, Sevigny and Lucas are all set to star in the story which paints the Appalachian coal-mining community in an authentic and heartfelt way that hasn’t often been portrayed in popular culture.
Boyd Holbrook and Jacob Lofland are also set to co-star, and the film is being produced by Anne Carey of Archer Gray Productions, Jason Michael Berman and Thomas B. Fore of TideRock Media, and Summer Shelton.
With every new update on Little Accidents – we’ll be back, make sure you stay tuned!
