So, we all agree that Bane looks like a huge monster? Ok then, let’s move on with some real details from the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises movie, which opens on July 20th 2012. When I say real I actually mean that Christopher Nolan finally shared some details about the whole thing, so – pay good attention you Batman freaks!
Christopher Nolan Set to Shoot The Dark Knight Rises in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The Dark Knight Rises scenes will be shot in Pittsburgh, this summer.
The London-born director Christopher Nolan said:
Pittsburgh is a beautiful city. … We have been able to find everything we were looking for here, and I am excited to spend the summer in Pittsburgh with our final installment of Batman.”
Previous speculation that The Dark Knight Rises would shoot in New Orleans didn’t come true. The Oscar nominated director was noticed on Smithfield Street in Pittsburgh, along with his team, supposedly overlooking a map; location scouting.
Keira Knightley, Natalie Portman, Rachel Weisz, Anne Hathaway, Blake Lively or Naomi Watts In The Dark Knight Rises?
The latest and a real big rumor from Hollywood goes like this: Christopher Nolan has put the call out to fill two female lead roles in The Dark Knight Rises.
Actresses that Christopher Nolan has been rumored to have met with include Keira Knightley, Natalie Portman, Rachel Weisz, Anne Hathaway, Blake Lively and Naomi Watts.
And we must admit this is pretty impressive. But how to expect less from great name such as Christopher Nolan!?
According to Deadline, Nolan is casting for two different female roles. One of the roles is to be a love interest for Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) and the other a villain.
But that’s not all. Just another one rumor, please.
Gillian Anderson Blames “Dark Knight” For Poor “X-Files” Takings
Actress Gillian Anderson is blaming the popularity of “The Dark Knight” for “The X-Files” film’s low box office grossings.
The “X-Files: I Want To Believe“, starring Anderson and David Duchovny, earned a disappointing $10.2 million in its opening weekend (26-27Jul08) in the U.S., while “The Dark Knight” took an impressive $75 million in the same weekend. And Anderson is convinced that her movie – based on the hit TV show – is suffering because so many people are flocking to see the Batman sequel.She says, “It’s (The X-Files film) had a bit of a rough time in the States. It’s opening against one of the highest grossing movies, Batman.
“People in the States are so used to lots of CGI (computer-generated imagery), action and sex and we don’t really off a lot of that in this film.”
Will “The Dark Knight” Break Opening Weekend Box Office Records ?
Batman movie “The Dark Knight” will make its U.S. debut in a record 4,366 theaters on Friday, which could push it past the 100 million U.S. dollar mark on its opening weekend, industry watchers said. Topping that blockbuster figure would push “Dark Knight” into rare air seen by only 10 other wide-release movies including “Spider-Man 3” and “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.”

“The Dark Knight” Armored Truck Movie Clip
MTV News got their hands on yet another one “The Dark Knight” movie clip, featuring the Joker trying to stop an armored truck.
In the film, with the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman (Christian Bale) sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker (Heath Ledger).
Brand New “Dark Knight” Trailer!
The great new trailer for “The Dark Knight” comes from this past years Wizard World in Chicago. This trailer does not have much dialog but there is tons of action packed footage, even Batman tossing Joker (87 sec) and Two-Face at the end.
“Dark Knight” Credits Pay Tribute to Heath Ledger

Warner Bros. has paid tribute to Heath Ledger in the final credits of the new movie “The Dark Knight“, in which the late Aussie actor plays The Joker.
Heath Ledger, who died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs in January, reportedly gives a brilliant performance playing opposite Christian Bale’s Batman.
