Judi Dench Returns as M in Bond 23
When I think about Bond movies, there’s always Judi Dench on my mind.
Don’t know why, maybe because she has already starred in six Bond films with her first appearance in 1995′s Goldeneye? Obviously.
So, it’s quite logical that the legendary actress will return as M, 007′s boss, in the new movie that, at this moment, has the working title Bond 23.
That’s exactly what we heard straight from Judi Dench last night at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards:
“Yes, I can’t tell you anything at all! Nothing… my lips are sealed,” she said, but then added: “You get to work with Daniel Craig. You get to go on location if you are very lucky and you get to wear a few sharp suits.
Michael Fassbender To Star In Genius?
We all remember him from Inglourious Basterds, so we definitely know he’s good!
So, no wonder we’ll have a chance to see him starring in Genius, an upcoming Bill Pohlad directed drama that already has Sean Penn attached to star.
Movie is an adaptation of the National Book Award-winning non-fiction book Max Perkins: Editor of Genius.
The story focuses on Perkins’ relationship with Thomas Wolfe, who’s often cited as one of the 20th century’s greatest writers (and is a favorite of several Playlist staffers).
Wolfe was a great writer, but a notoriously undisciplined one, and the two fought constantly – Perkins convinced the author to cut 90,000 words from his first novel, “Look Homeward, Angel,” and battled for two years over the length of the second.
Sean Penn in Genius by Bill Pohlad
Sean Penn is in talks to play famed literary editor Max Perkins in the Bill Pohlad directed biopic Genius.
John Logan penned the screenplay, based in part on A. Scott Berg’s National Book Award-winning 1978 biography Max Perkins: Editor of Genius and at this moment we know that Genius will focus on the relationship between Perkins and a young Thomas Wolfe, though the script is peopled with literary characters.
Here are more details about the story: “The driving force behind such literary superstars as F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, and Thomas Wolfe, Max Evarts Perkins was the most admired book editor in the world.
From the first major novel he edited to the last, Perkins revolutionized American literature. Perkins was tirelessly committed to nurturing talent no matter how young or unproven the writer.

The full cast report is also included! You should definitely check out the rest of this report and see why this Scorsese’s movie, based on Brian Selznick‘s NY Times bestselling novel The Invention of Hugo Cabret, already sounds like big, big spectacle…
Hugo Cabret, Scorsese’s first film which will be shot in 3D, tells the tale of an orphan boy living a secret life in the walls of a Paris train station.

Martin Scorsese on Hugo Cabret 3D
Ok guys, we already know that 3D adaptation of Brian Selznick’s novel The Invention of Hugo Cabret is coming, and we’re all very excited to see what legendary director Martin Scorsese will do with this story.
And yes, we all had a chance to hear that he’s very excited by 3D as well, but trust us, it looks that this project is going to be an extraordinary one…
Scorsese previously said: “if the camera move is going to be a 3D effect, it has to be for dramatic purposes – not just throwing spears at the audience. And that, maybe I can’t do that. Maybe my daughter’s generation, she’s 10 now, can think that way.”
And now, a little update! Filmmaker’s longtime collaborator/editor Thelma Schoonmaker added:
“Scorsese is in love with 3D. He looked at Avatar and Alice in Wonderland and he didn’t feel that the 3D he saw was as interesting as in the old ones like Dial M for Murder and House of Wax. He’s decided he wants to be stronger with 3D to make it jump out at you.
