Today we have 17 new photos from Kathryn Bigelow's upcoming action thriller Zero Dark Thirty, which chronicles the hunt to find Osama Bin Laden.
Re-teaming with The Hurt Locker (which won both Best Director and Best Picture at the 2009 Academy Awards. ) screenwriter Mark Boal, Bigelow's new film stars Joel Edgerton, Jessica Chastain, Edgar Ramirez, Mark Strong, Kyle Chandler, Nash Edgerton, Jennifer Ehle, Harold Perrineau and Frank Grillo.
Here's the synopsis for the film
Following the September 11 attacks on the United States, a decade-long hunt began for Osama bin Laden, the head of the Islamist militant group al-Qaeda. The movie follows the efforts of top secret CIA intelligence forces, who rented a home in Abbottabad, Pakistan near the compound where bin Laden was believed to be in hiding. The official code name of the mission was Operation Neptune Spear and on May 2, 2011, a special force of Navy Seals carried out a raid that brought the terrorist down.
Zero Dark Thirty hits theaters December 19th, 2012.
