Clive Owen To Join New Comedy THE KING OF THE CASTLE

Nick Martin October 25, 2012 Add a Comment
Clive Owen Charming rather than jokular, Clive Oven will team up with the writers Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka in a new comedy called The King of the Castle. Penned by The Sitter scribes, The King of the Castle will also serve as their directorial debut. Owen would reportedly play a smooth philanderer whose latest seduction is caught on film by a teenager who turns to blackmail. Gatewood and Tanaka are also responsible for penning a movie adaptation of Baywatch. The new comedy will be financed by Benaroya Pictures (Margin Call) and produced by Jonathan Gordon (The Silver Linings Playbook). No word yet on when The King of the Castle will lens. Clive Owen recently starred in HBO original movie Hemingway & Gellhorn, along with Nicole Kidman, which has its U.S. cable premiere on May 28th and received mixed reviews. Owen was last seen on the big screen in Gary McKendry's Killer Elite and the Belfast-based thriller Shadow Dancer. Source: The L.A.
