Hey vampire fans, I’m sure you already know that Byzantium opens today (in limited theaters), but still – it’s always a good time to check out what’s new with Neil Jordan‘s weird mother-daughter duo. Well, guess what, this latest clip is all about Saoirse Ronan‘s Eleanor, a teenage vampire born in the eighteenth century – a nice killer, who preys on elderly victims who are ready to die. As we previously reported, Jordan directed the whole thing from a script written by Moira Buffini, and beside Ronan, Byzantium also stars Gemma Arterton, Sam Riley, Jonny Lee Miller, Caleb Landry Jones and Danny Mays.
In case you forgot the official synopsis:
Two mysterious women seek refuge in a run-down coastal resort. Clara meets lonely Noel, who provides shelter in his deserted guesthouse, Byzantium. Schoolgirl Eleanor befriends Frank and tells him their lethal secret. They were born 200 years ago and survive on human blood. As knowledge of their secret spreads, their past catches up on them with deathly consequence.
