Let's continue our little chat about the movies that will compete at this year's Cannes Film Festival, which, as you already know, starts on May 16th.
Today we're here for Brandon Cronenberg‘s feature film debut titled Antiviral, which will compete in the Un Certain Regard section.
We finally have images from the whole thing, so I'm sure you're going to enjoy!
As you already see from this photo, the movie stars Caleb Landry Jones as Syd March, an employee at a clinic that sells injections of live viruses harvested from sick celebrities to obsessed fans. Biological communion – for a price. Syd also supplies illegal samples of these viruses to piracy groups, smuggling them from the clinic in his own body.
So far – sounds a little bit weird!
When he becomes infected with the disease that kills super sensation Hannah Geist, Syd becomes a target for collectors and rabid fans. He must unravel the mystery surrounding her death before he suffers the same fate.
Ok, now it's completely weird!
The rest of the Antiviral cast includes Sarah Gadon, Douglas Smith, Matt Watts, James Cade and Malcolm McDowell.
