Channing Tatum will be soon negotiating a deal to star opposite Jonah Hill (Get Him to the Greek) in 21 Jump Street, the big screen version of famous 1980s TV series, with the same title.
21 Jump Street (1987–1991), as we all know, catapulted Johnny Depp (as Officer Tom Hanson) to his success.
According some sources Tatum and Hill both have read the script and will play Jenko and Schmidt respectively.
There are some rumors that Emma Stone will star in the movie as well.

21 Jump Street is the headquarters for a squad of police officers who specialize in investigations relating to young people.
Each of the Jump St. personnel was selected for their ability to pass for high school or college students, allowing them to operate undercover in areas where it is difficult for regular police officers to blend in unnoticed.
Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) are attached to direct the movie.
