Jim Sturgess Joins Kate Beckinsale In ELIZA GRAVES!

Jim Sturgess We already reported that Kate Beckinsale is set to play the female lead in the upcoming psychological thriller Eliza Graves, remember? But what definitely sounds great is that, according to the latest reports, Jim Sturgess is attached to star in the whole thing as well! He comes on board to play a Harvard Medical School grad who becomes obsessed with Beckinsale’s character – imagine that! So, as we previously reported, Brad Anderson is on board to direct the movie from a script written by Joe Gangemi, and the whole thing is based on the Edgar Allen Poe tale The System of Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether. It revolves around a Harvard Medical School graduate who takes a job at an insane asylum, unaware of the fact that it has been taken over by its occupants. Kate Beckinsale will play the title character of Eliza, a patient at a mental institution in which the inmates have taken over and are posing as doctors. She becomes the object of affection of a newly arrived Harvard Medical School grad who has no idea of the topsy-turvy world he just entered. As we said at the beginning – Jim Sturgess jumps in to play that guy, and we have nothing against this decision. C’mon, you must admit that Sturgess and Beckinsale make a pretty good couple! Production on Eliza Graves starts this June in Bulgaria, and Bruce Davey, Mel Gibson, Mark Amin, Cami Winikoff and Oren Peli are all on board to produce the project. Stay tuned for more updates!
