It looks like we might have our first glimpse of one of
Guillermo del Toro's giant robots, the Jaegers, in his upcoming sci-fi epic
Pacific Rim.
As a Thanksgiving treat, a new video has surfaced from Mirada, del Toro's production company, but the footage of the Jaeger is most likely just pre-production work. However, it does give us a hint to what these giant robots will look like as they battle inter-dimensional creatures.
The Pacific Rim cast is headed up by
Idris Elba, Charlie Day, and
Ron Perlman, with del Toro directing from a script by
Travis Beacham (Clash of the Titans).
One of the best blockbusters of next year will be released in 3D and IMAX theatres on July 12th, 2013.
