Futurama: Bender’s Game poster

During the San Diego Comic-Con, Fox has premiered the first footage from the third “Futurama” DVD that will be hitting stores on November 4th. The name of the new movie is “Futurama: Bender’s Game” and in addition to the footage, the studio has also unveiled the poster, which could end up being on the cover of the DVD. The description simply reveals that the Planet Express crew gets trapped in a fantasy world, but judging by the footage, it is more than that. The next “Futurama” DVD movie is Bender’s Game, a takeoff on Dungeons & Dragons, tentatively scheduled for Nov. 4, story co-creator David X. Cohen says. “It’s our first foray into fantasy,” he says. “It’s visually spectacular.” The fourth feature will be done sometime this fall and released in the spring, he says. Remember, he says that release date is “tentative”, so it could be subject to change. img_2 img_6 img_5 img_4 img_3 img_1

Well, I just hope it is better than the last one. “Benders Big Score” was terrible. It felt like a 30 minute episode got stretched into a full length feature, and they were just looking for excuses to put as many bit characters in as possible. I absolutely loved Futurama, but I was so disappointed in that last movie.
