Seven Pounds director, Gabriele Muccino, is in talks to direct a project that's already being described as “supernatural romancer.”
So, just in case you're in the mood for this kind of story, make sure you remember this title – Adaline that Muccino will direct for Lakeshore Entertainment Group and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment.
According to the latest reports, the story, penned by J. Mills Goodloe, Salvador Paskowitz and Allison Burnett, centers on “a young woman born at the turn of 20th century who is rendered ageless after an accident. After years of a solitary life, she meets a man for whom it might be worth losing her immortality. “
Katherine Heigl was previously attached to star in Adaline while Andy Tennant (The Bounty Hunter) was set to direct it.
Now, as you already guess, they've both dropped off the project. Lakeshore's Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi are producing the project alongside Sidney Kimmel.
Steve Golin and Alix Madigan will also produce via their Anonymous Content banner.
The principal photography is scheduled to begin next January.
Stay tuned for more updates on Adaline.
