Mary Elizabeth Winstead has signed on to star in the upcoming psychological thriller The Darkness.
The movie comes from The Last Exorcism helmer Daniel Stamm and at this moment we know that the whole thing is actually loosely based on the Henry James novel Turn of the Screw.
Written by Megan Holley and according to Variety it will center on an American student looking after her tutor’s two children in a remote English manor house.
She soon comes to believe that she and the children are being haunted when their lives are threatened by mysterious events.
Shooting on The Darkness will start this summer in Europe.
