Mike Judge will direct the comedy Extract with Jason Bateman in the lead role. The film, which Judge also wrote, will focus on a flower extract plant owner who sees his life and company change around him after a string of bad luck. Extract is set up at Miramax. Judge has previously directed the workplace comedy Office Space and the little-seen Idiocracy. He is also the creator of Beavis and Butthead and King of the Hill. Bateman recently appeared in Juno and Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
