2011 MTV Movie Awards, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

MTV have announced the nominees for the 2011 MTV Movie Awards on Tuesday morning and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse leads after landing eight mentions (including best movie, best male performance for both Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, best kiss, and best female performance for Kristen Stewart).

Close behind in the nom stakes is the sci-fi thriller Inception with seven noms, closely followed by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 with six.

The winners will be unveiled in a Los Angeles ceremony on June 5. Jason Sudeikis will host the awards this year.The 35-year-old is in his sixth season on NBC's Saturday Night Live. He co-stars in the upcoming comedy Horrible Bosses.

Fans will have until June 3rd to submit their votes.

    I’ve always said this about the MTV Movie Awards, they should not use “Best” for their categories, they should use “Favorite.” Because the worst movie in the category is going to win “Best Movie” and that’s f* ridiculous.

    Or am I thinking too much about the MTV Movie Awards? People care, right?
