Get ready for Outlander! We've just learned that Ronald D. Moore (man who stands behind the well-known Battlestar Galactica) will be in charge for a television adaptation of Diana Gabaldon's bestselling book series of the same name. A married WWII nurse is sent back in time to the year 1743, are you even interested in that story?
Hope you are, because it looks that folks from The Starz network are quite serious about the project.
As a matter of fact, production on Outlander is scheduled to begin this October, with filming set to take place in Scotland.
So, it's time for some strange mix of romance, science fiction, history and adventure. In other words, the series will revolve around a married WWII combat nurse named Claire Randall is sent back in time to the year 1743, where she ends up on the run and in fear of her life.
What about the romance-part of the story? Well, here's the thing – out there, Claire is forced to marry a chivalrous and romantic young Scottish warrior named Jamie, which means that Claire's heart will be torn apart between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives.
Sounds pretty cool now. No wonder Gabaldon's seven-book series has sold over 20 million copies (with an eighth novel slated to come out this fall).

Am almost afraid! The books have taken a life in my imagination. I hope the producers due justice to this series. I definitely will be following this till it premiers.
