I myself am not a big fan of the franchise, but I know a lot of people who love it, so I guess all of you will be happy to hear that a 30-second promotional video for Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie debuted in Japan on Monday.
Hayato Date directed the film, which opens on July 28th, 2012 in Japan and it features a story and character designs personally created by Naruto manga creator Masashi Kishimoto. The Japanese voice cast includes Chie Nakamura, Emi Shinohara, Junko Takeuchi, Toshiyuki Morikawa, Kazuhiko Inoue, Keiko Nemoto and others.
The film will be the sixth Naruto Shippūden film and ninth Naruto film overall. Naruto Shippūden: Blood Prison, the fifth Naruto Shippūden film, opened last July. Viz Media released the second Naruto Shippūden film, Naruto Shippūden the Movie: Bonds, in American theaters last October. Geez. That's almost nearing Star Trek!
