Are you ready for an explosive action thriller? Folks from Paramount Pictures are definitely more than ready for the upcoming Star Trek Into Darkness movie, and thanks to them, we have a completely new poster from the whole thing to share with you today! As you already know, J.J.Abrams‘ movie opens this May, so yeah – we better hurry up…
J.J.Abrams directs this sci-fi action from a script written by that well-known team – Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci & Damon Lindelof, and as we previously mentioned, this is the twelfth film in the Star Trek franchise and the sequel to 2009's Star Trek.
When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.
When it comes to the movie cast, we have nothing to worry about – Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Anton Yelchin, Simon Pegg and John Cho are all on board (again), while the rest of the cast also includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve and Peter Weller.
Star Trek Into Darkness opens on May 15th, 2013.
